Melanie Pitson
Melanie Pitson is a digital product and technology expert. With more than 16 years of experience designing and bringing multi-platform solutions to market, Melanie creates product strategies, development processes and organizational structures to help businesses grow efficiently and meet customer expectations. 

Melanie's approach to product development and management encompasses market assessment, user experience, operations, and revenue generation.

Melanie has worked with both established organizations and start-ups, and has deep experience developing products based on business models driven by subscription, ecommerce and ad supported media. Melanie's client engagements include: tronc, (formerly Tribune Publishing), Entertainment Benefits Group,, and Dana’s Bakery.

Prior to establishing her product development and management consultancy, Melanie held a number of senior digital product roles, including Vice President of Product & Business Development for Artspace (acquired by Phaidon Press) where she was responsible for building and managing the company's product team, and oversaw strategy, design, and delivery of innovative and user-friendly product solutions.  Melanie has also held senior digital product roles with DailyCandy/Comcast NBCU Digital, Disney Interactive Media Group/ABC News and Reuters Media. In these roles she was accountable for product experiences across email, web, mobile, social and video platforms.

Her mobile expertise started while working on the product development team at Vindigo, one of the first developers of consumer-facing mobile applications in the U.S.

She began her career in ecommerce at Acorn Media Publishing in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Melanie is a graduate of the Smith School of Business at The University of Maryland, College Park.
